these photos were taken in downtown asheville, nc, a month or so ago. my love and i found this little guy/gal perched in a tree and were able to watch him/her move around and stare at us curiously for quite some time. he/she was quite the curious feathered friend, i must say. what's even more unique about this little guy/gal is that he/she showed up just when i was dealing with trying to stave off a really stinky attitude towards my love. my little encounter with this little guy/gal is funny to me because my personal blog is called oh, restless bird and my word for twenty-twelve is peace...and this little guy showed up to remind me to search desperately for my place of peace when i wanted to let my selfishness and fears get the best of me. thank you, lord, and little bird for speaking to me in that moment, so many days ago now.
