{{Beauty}} Photography Contest & Prize
Jess of Yours Truly is having a {{beauty}} themed photo contest on her blog. I admit that I absolutely adore and love roses. Coral and deep Crimson colored roses are among my favorite varieties. I secretly love receiving roses, more than any other gift (so far!), from the young man who holds my heart. To me roses are of the utmost beauty, and receiving them makes me feel beautiful too!

Western North Carolina Nature Center {in photos}
My boyfriend and I spent the day (a few weeks back now) at the Western North Carolina Nature Center for his birthday day. It was a lot of fun to trek through the small zoo and both Jared and I reconnected with our inner child by ooh-ing and ah-ing and getting all wordy and geeky in speech and actions over all of the super stellar neat-o animals at the zoo. It's a day that I plan to remember and relive in my memories for as long as I possibly can.
I might add in some more photos later...

Lucia Marie & Miss Raquel are having a photo contest...which ends tomorrow! Nothing like entering into a photography contest last minute, right?
Green Galore
{my entry for the photo challenge}
This lovely little turtle sat there very austere on his log hovered above the green waters for a few hours. Seriously, my boyfriend and I walked through the whole zoo (Western North Carolina Nature Center to be exact) and then walked past the turtle pond again and he was still perched there! I love the green waters in this photo...and of course the little guy too!
Carlotta is having a {GREEN} photo challenge going on at her blog. Green is GOOD. Be sure to enter in before May 28th!

Of Writer's & Cacti
"Who wants to become a writer? And why? Because it's the answer to everything. To 'Why am I here?' To uselessness. It's the streaming reason for living. To note, to pin down, to build up, to create, to be astonished at nothing, to cherish the oddities, to let nothing go down the drain, to make something, to make a great flower out of life, even if it's a cactus." - Enid Bagnold

Portrait Photo Contest @Life Is Too Short Not To Wear Red Shoes
I am entering into Polka Dot's Portrait Photo Contest! These photos (below) are my portraiture entries:

This is the blue eyed, tall dark and handsome man, whom I love with all of my heart and have been with in a beautiful Courtship for the last year and a half! Jared and I have known each other for nearly two years now (as of this July.) We are planning on get married as soon as we get all settled into our newfound adult lives, Lord willing. I honestly couldn't imagine living a day without him in it! I didn't think that love would ever be found for me way back when, but through patient waiting and after remaining in a faithful prayer-filled season of singleness for many years the Lord brought Jared into my life...and it's been brighter ever since! I love you so much Jared Fisher!! I can't wait to be your bride!!! =)
This is my lovely little sister, Mary. She may be short and sassy, but she is mighty in determination and in heart, I assure you! I love her to pieces and she makes my world filled with so much laughter and joy every day! I am so thankful to be her BIG SISSY!! This particular photo, I'll have you know, is a rare glimpse of my sister, as she hates to have her picture taken. Luckily she humored me a few weeks back while we were driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway and let me take a photo of her beautiful self!!
Well, good luck to all of you who are also entering into Polka Dot's fab photography contest! I can't wait to see all of your photo's too!! =)
April Floralia Lovelies
We have some seriously beautiful flowers growing on our property this year. ::sigh::
Okay, so the Red Maple shots are not FLOWERS, but I thought they were a lovely addition to this set of photos! Don't you?
What is your favorite flower to photograph??
Blue Ridge Beauties
My family and I took a trip a few weeks back to drive up on the Blue Ridge Mountains. These are the sights I saw while up there...beauty itself!
