{{Beauty}} Photography Contest & Prize

Jess of Yours Truly is having a {{beauty}} themed photo contest on her blog. I admit that I absolutely adore and love roses. Coral and deep Crimson colored roses are among my favorite varieties. I secretly love receiving roses, more than any other gift (so far!), from the young man who holds my heart. To me roses are of the utmost beauty, and receiving them makes me feel beautiful too!

Western North Carolina Nature Center {in photos}

My boyfriend and I spent the day (a few weeks back now) at the Western North Carolina Nature Center for his birthday day. It was a lot of fun to trek through the small zoo and both Jared and I reconnected with our inner child by ooh-ing and ah-ing and getting all wordy and geeky in speech and actions over all of the super stellar neat-o animals at the zoo. It's a day that I plan to remember and relive in my memories for as long as I possibly can.

I might add in some more photos later...

Lucia Marie & Miss Raquel are having a photo contest...which ends tomorrow! Nothing like entering into a photography contest last minute, right?

Green Galore

{my entry for the photo challenge}
This lovely little turtle sat there very austere on his log hovered above the green waters for a few hours. Seriously, my boyfriend and I walked through the whole zoo (Western North Carolina Nature Center to be exact) and then walked past the turtle pond again and he was still perched there! I love the green waters in this photo...and of course the little guy too!

Carlotta is having a {GREEN} photo challenge going on at her blog. Green is GOOD. Be sure to enter in before May 28th!

Below are a few of my other green photo lovelies:

Of Writer's & Cacti

"Who wants to become a writer? And why? Because it's the answer to everything. To 'Why am I here?' To uselessness. It's the streaming reason for living. To note, to pin down, to build up, to create, to be astonished at nothing, to cherish the oddities, to let nothing go down the drain,  to make something, to make a great flower out of life, even if it's a cactus." - Enid Bagnold
